This was a commissioned piece for a 70th birthday present. The recipient grew up in Algeria before settling in France. He had childhood memories of walking over this bridge to Constantine. It’s such a spectacular place, I pictured him as a child looking down and trying to imagine how it would be, to be down there and looking up.
